About our Client

Our client is a major player in the building and construction industry. This business has been successful in winning a major project and requires an experienced Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement activity.

Job Description

You will have the responsibility for sourcing a wide range of materials and services to support this project, this includes engineering services and equipment, labour hire, electrical components and raw materials. You will be responsible for the negotiation and implementation of a number of new high value contracts focusing on lowest total cost, quality and service. You will own the relationship with suppliers and you will ensure performance targets are being achieved. You will act as a central point of contact for all supplier related matters and you will also regularly communicate your progress to the business.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have project procurement experience and be able to demonstrate successful leadership of small dynamic project team. You will have ideally had building and construction, oil and gas or engineering consultancy experience. You must have strong negotiation and contract management skills and the ability to communicate to a diverse stakeholder group.
