Our client is seeking an enthusiastic horticulturist to manage their premium seventy acre Stone Fruit orchard. You will manage all day to day farm activities and liaise with other managers regarding production and marketing strategies. This well maintained orchard has state of the art watering and fertigation system, excellent orchard machinery and regular casual staff to help during busy periods. Required Skills - Ideally five years hands-on stone fruit experience;
- Proven administrative experience;
- Sound mechanical skills;
- The ability to lead and organize contract and casual staff;
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proven horticulture experience is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification will be well regarded. An attractive base salary plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on your experience.
