An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to join this leading telco for an initial 6 month contract. The primary role of the B.I. Architect in this organisation, is to produce and prove technical architectures that meet the tactical and strategic needs of business and IT Strategy. As such, you will be a leader in the development arena and be highly skilled in multiple technologies with an understanding of architectural trade-offs. Extensive hands on experience with large scale software engineering and data ware housing programs is mandatory as are strong Technical Leadership & Negotiation/influencing skills. To be considered for this position, you will also be required to have: - Large-Scale Datawarehouse E2E Architecture Design Experience (7+ Years)
- Extensive experience of Application/database development processes with at least 8 years experience in software engineering.
- An excellent understanding of leading technologies in Business Intelligence across Back End and Front End reporting. (Teradata, Abinitio, Oracle, IBM, Cognos, etc.)
- Completed several large scale Business Intelligence project life-cycles
- Possess strong Data Analysis and Architect skills
- Expertise in two (or more) integration tools (SAS, Abinitio (desired), Informatica, Data Stage, etc.)
- Experience in multiple Software languages (eg J2EE/Java, C++, Perl)
- Experience in Application Server (WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat etc)
