Are you ready; really ready to leave the fast pace and pressure of city living behind you as you plan a tree/sea change for your family. Do you want your kids to be growing up in a location where the environment is still pristine and a joy to behold? Consider working in South Eastern Queensland! The role: Ensuring that General Medicine patients are managed using evidence-based best practice, you will work in a multi-disciplinary settings and be involved in the on-call roster. Of course, you will also actively engage in continuous quality improvement activities within the Medicine department. The location: Based in a large regional city with a high level of facilities and services for both families and individuals, you will find yourself just a short drive away from a capital city. It is also a perfect destination to enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of the surrounding region, the coastline, rivers, lakes and wineries. With a temperate climate of warm summers and cool winters, this city enjoys four distinct seasons. Compared to most of Queensland, the town is cooler, mainly because of its high elevation. Daily maximum temperatures average 27°C (81 °F) in summer and 16 °C (61 °F) in winter. Winter temperatures seldom go below freezing; however in a situation unique among Queensland cities, snow has been reported on the higher parts of the city on rare occasions. Light frost will be experienced several nights each winter in the city centre, more often in the western suburbs. You: Will have a Fellowship from the College of Physicians (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a Specialist with AHPRA.
