They are currently going through a period of massive transformation and change, and are looking to employ a senior general manager who has come from either a mining, resources or heavy manufacturing background. Role can be based in Sydney if required. Job Description Reporting to the Divisional CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our client's national operations which incorporates an extremely large workforce and asset base. The primary focus of this critical position revolves around 4 key pillars including driving major safety improvements, industrial relations, process improvement and change management and operational leadership. The Successful Applicant With academic qualifications in engineering, science or business, you will have recently held a senior general management role within a global or large Australian industrial organisation, with responsibility for operations or manufacturing, safety, industrial relations and business excellence. Whether you are from a mining or resources business, or an industrial setting with complex safety and labour, it is critical that you have run a complex operation with multi geographic locations and a large work force. It is also important that you can demonstrate success in driving and implementing significant change to an organisation through your leadership and process improvement skills.
