Role

Joining a large corporation, you will be providing estimating services to clients.
The main responsibilities include:

• Preparing A1 (templates) and A2 (detailed) construction estimates for assigned transmission substation projects
• Providing advice on substation construction and commissioning issues to assist others in the development of project scope definitions (for both internal and external work)
• Assisting in the preparation/coordination of bids for external work
• Maintaining, operating and updating the database associated with transmission substation construction and commissioning estimating work
• Managing the inter-relationship between their own work and the work of others
• Providing advice and support to Network Officers
• Managing and improving stakeholder relationships by meeting or exceeding their expectations

The company is in energy solutions business and is responsible for developing and maintaining network to meet the needs of customers.

Requirements

• Trade qualifications or relevant qualifications
• Approximately 6 years experience in substation construction or commissioning focusing on estimating
• Sound knowledge of substation primary and secondary arrangements and associated construction and commissioning work practices
• Sound knowledge of estimating practices, procedures and tools
• Sound knowledge of project and contract management systems and tools
• Working knowledge of resource and financial management practices and procedures
