Career-defining opportunity with this International Engineering, Planning and Management consultancy for an accomplished Planner to spearhead the growth of their urban development division.

Continued success and expansion of this major multi-disciplinary consultancy firm requires the appointment of a Senior Associate level professional to spearhead the firm?s urban planning and development division. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be charged with the task of managing the existing project and client portfolio, as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities with a focus on the provision of statutory planning advice and advocacy at VCAT, Planning Panels and public forums. In addition to client and project management functions, you will also be expected to assist the General Manager in the supervision, leadership and professional development of the urban planning team, currently consisting 8 consultants.

To be considered for this challenging role, you will hold relevant graduate and post graduate qualifications in urban planning, have a minimum of 10 years professional planning experience (with a preference being given to those coming from a consultancy environment), demonstrable technical excellence and a solid standing within Melbourne?s urban development sector, recognised as a dedicated and positive contributor within your field. With a go-getting, no-nonsense attitude and proactive approach to your work, you will demonstrate exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills, along with strong business acumen and a high level of commercial awareness.
