As the BI Solution Designer your role will be to provide end to end BI/Datawarehouse Solution Design expertise within the Enterprise BI team. Your innovative thinking coupled with deep cross BI disciplines (ETL, Datamodelling, reporting and analysis) knowledge and practical industry experience will ensure consistent delivery of value add robust BI solutions that facilitate business strategy and are delivered in alignment with the BI IT Strategy.

You must have:-
Extensive expertise of data integration and BI concepts Highly experienced in providing solution designs including transition plans and cost estimates. Able to work across multiple projects and deal with ambiguity in a positive manner. Experience in Datamodelling, conceptual, logical and physical, with different approaches, ie normalised and dimensional - ideally in a financial services organisation. Broad practical experience in Datawarehouse environments including tools (BI reporting, ETL, Metadata Management, Reference Data Management), strategies, solution approaches, industry trends, emerging technologies. Good understanding and practical experience in using industry standard reference data models (eg IBM's BDW, Teradata's FSLDM), with special focus on business domains in the financial sector. Industry experience in data warehousing practices and projects, in mainstream environments, Unix/Oracle, Teradata, etc. Extensive experience in data management best practices, architecture and data domains across a Financial Services environment. Experience communicating with and influencing Senior stakeholders (Business and IT) to gain endorsement and support Highly motivated, pro-active attitude, able to work independently. Able to lead solution design forums, fostering best practices, encouraging the participation of others sharing experiences and knowledge. Present and obtain solution endorsement from stakeholders and governance parties such as Enterprise Architecture, IT Management and Business Stakeholders. Team player, works collaboratively, with good verbal and written communication Strategic thinker, highly proficient in the use of architecture and solution design blueprints as communication tools to foster insightful discussions, enforce governance and facilitate solution design consistency. Broad experience in Cognos 8, Oracle, Teradata and Informatica. Play an active role across IT and Business in educating and promoting best practice BI solutions, able to articulate and justify sound solutions in line with the strategic vision of the BI environment. Minimum 5 years as a BI/DW Solution Designer/Architect with a solid track record of end to end solution delivery .

The ideal candidate will also have one or more of the following:-
Exposure or hands on experience in DataStage toolsets including metadata management
