About our Client Our client is one of Australias leading ASX-listed property groups operating across investment and development. Job Description Working in the Investments Management division, a Senior Financial Accountant is required to assist with: - Managing the monthly management accounting
- Assisting with financial accounting following an acquisition
- FY11 Budgeting including spreadsheets, meeting the business, consolidation and submitting group templates
- Statutory reporting preparing statutory accounts and preparing accounting advice
- Treasury reporting collecting reports of debt covenant compliance and reviewing, identifying issues
- Project work improvements to ledger system
- Managing staff to ensure Finance team deliverables such as AP \ AR, month end are being met
The Successful Applicant This is a demanding and varied position and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. The ideal person will be: - CA qualified
- Experienced in an audit environment, ideally of large property companies or trusts/ funds
- Technically strong and able to provide sound accounting advice to the business
- Experienced in Australia having worked with local accounting standards
- A confident communicator
- Proficient in large financial systems, ideally with experience in SUN, Excel and a property management system like Timberline or MRI
